99x ranked as a Best Workplace in Sri Lanka for 8th consecutive year
It marked the culmination of a series of achievements by the company across multiple spheres, in what has proven to be a challenging year. In addition to this achievement, 99x was ranked as a Best Workplace in Asia in the small and medium sized enterprises category, a Best IT/ITES Workplace in Sri Lanka and a Best Workplace for Women in Sri Lanka. It also swept up two category awards, winning Silver in the Medium Sized Enterprises category on the Sri Lankan index and a special mention for ‘Excellence in People Initiatives - Developing Practices’.
“2020 has shown us how workplaces must be reimagined across industries in the COVID and post-pandemic era. In a year that tested the limits of every industry and corporate globally, the importance of a great workplace culture was highlighted during the pandemic. Organisations that focused on creating a great workplace culture and embraced a broader role as an employer weathered the pandemic far better than their peers.
Employees that thrived in a great workplace culture proved to be a dedicated workforce, showing enthusiasm to give their employers their 100% even through tough times and uncertainty. This was seen at 99x, where its employees seamlessly switched to a Work From Home (WFH) model and put in their best effort. Customers experienced no dip in productivity during this time and 99x’s project teams in fact saw an increase in its annual customer satisfaction scores by the end of the year.
The eighth consecutive annual study in Sri Lanka surveyed a sample of over 46,000 employees at a response rate of 84 percent, representing a population of more than 69,000 employees. A total of 135 organisations across 20 main industries registered for the study. As in the previous years, Great Place to Work® Institute’s study in Sri Lanka was based on the global model and a rigorous methodology, which has been researched, tested and carried out in similar studies around the world – including the Americas, Europe and Asia.
