Introducing Inamata 

Inamata (www.inamata.io) is a scalable IoT platform enabling process automation, monitoring and compliance addressing business needs across multiple industries. These include data-driven compliance solutions for hazardous production environments as well as monitoring device health and building systems. Inamata addresses a range of use cases where solutions can be prototyped and then rolled out with ease. This is enabled by providing everything from Wi-Fi and LTE devices to the backend and user-facing apps. 

Solutions provided by Inamata 

Some use cases and solutions addressed by Inamata include: 

• Monitor hazardous work conditions relating to employee health and safety such as air quality in toxic environments 

• Solving compliance issues such as waste-water monitoring  

• Building system monitoring including HVAC, elevators, fire prevention systems 

• Deploy sensors throughout the production floor to understand machine utilization and ensure preventive maintenance cycles 

• Quality assurance and temperature monitoring in food processing environments 

 

Support for a range of sensors and peripherals 

The platform supports data collection from a variety of inputs devices and sensors based on the business case. Furthermore, connected systems can be commanded by on-device alarms or from remote dashboards. The related workflows and associated triggers can be mapped using a visual low-code programming interface. 

Unified reporting dashboard 

The platform provides a unified dashboard across all health and safety parameters, with a graphical overlay to view this information across geographically distributed plants. Aspects such as environment monitoring (air quality, contaminants and water quality)​, monitoring equipment health and temperature are some of the dimensions measured on the platform. Reports can be generated monthly, quarterly or at custom durations. 

99x – Inamata’s engineering partner 

Engaging as its engineering partner, 99x has worked with Inamata since 2021 to build and enhance the platform. Some of the main components include Inamata device setup and monitoring, status dashboard, reporting, device configuration, alerts and notifications. 

The technologies used on the project include Django, Angular, Google Cloud and TimescaleDB.
