99x has acquired 100 percent of the shares in the Norwegian technology company Gture, and the Gture owners will also become shareholders in 99x. The acquisition reinforces 99x’s strategic focus on digital product development, platform modernization and artificial intelligence, while expanding the company’s capacity both in Norway and globally.
Gture is a technology company specializing in digital product development, with around 20 employees in Oslo and an international delivery network. The company creates digital products from initial concept to launch through a holistic model that integrates design, technology, project management, development and operations.
Its work is highly design-driven and agile, with deliveries across UX and service design, application development, enterprise technology, artificial intelligence, low-code solutions and IoT. “Gture brings a strong and complementary product organisation to 99x, with a distinct culture rooted in quality, technology and AI-driven development. Together, we are even better positioned to deliver modern digital solutions to software companies and clients across industries in Norway and internationally,” says Odd Sverre Østlie, CEO of 99x.
A broader professional community For more than 20 years, 99x has helped Norwegian organisations develop and scale digital products and services. Today, the company consists of more than 600 experts across Europe, Asia and South America. The acquisition of Gture further strengthens this position. “Gture was built on the idea of creating digital products with lasting value, delivered through local expertise supported by our global network. The balance between local and global resources is adapted to customer needs over time within a long-term partnership,” says Stein Erik Moe, CEO and co-founder of Gture.
“With 99x, we gain a larger professional ecosystem, increased access to local and global expertise, and the opportunity to strengthen our product, technology and design work. It was essential for us to find a partner who shares our values and philosophy, and we have found that in 99x,” he continues.
Stronger positioning for complex projects The combined organisation is now better positioned to take on complex projects within platform development, cloud, artificial intelligence and modern application development. The company gains increased capacity in Norway, supported by a substantial international talent base. “For employees, this means more development opportunities and a stronger professional community. For customers, it means a stronger long-term partner with local roots and global delivery power,” says Stein Erik Moe.
Significant synergies The acquisition creates significant synergies between 99x and Gture. Gture will continue as its own brand and operational entity within the group. The professional communities will be more closely integrated across sales and marketing, product development, design, enterprise technology and AI. “Our aim is to combine the best of Gture with the broader 99x group, without disrupting ongoing work or the proven ways of operating that serve customers well today,” concludes Odd Sverre Østlie.
