99x joins the Festival of Sourcing 2026 with keynote on AI and digital sovereignty

99x will be joining the Global Sourcing Association’s Festival of Sourcing 2026, taking place on 29 July at Sandown Park Racecourse, in Esher, Surrey, London area.
The event brings together sourcing leaders, innovators, and decision-makers for a full day of thought leadership, expert debate, and high-impact networking around this year’s theme: responsible strategic sourcing in the age of AI.
As a corporate member of the Global Sourcing Association, 99x is proud to contribute to this conversation with the participation of Egil Fujikawa Nes, Chief Technology Officer at 99x Group, as one of the confirmed speakers.
Egil will explore how a widening “sovereignty gap”, driven by rapid AI change and increasing reliance on US and Chinese technology, means digital sovereignty must be built, not bought. His session will also address how 99x supports this vision through “sovereign extensions” that combine senior local talent with agile nearshore pods, making sourcing strategy a cornerstone of a more resilient Europe.
Guilherme Ramos Pereira, Head of Strategic Development at 99x Portugal, will also be attending the event, representing 99x in the UK sourcing ecosystem and connecting with organizations looking at AI, nearshore, and responsible technology partnerships in a new way.
The Festival of Sourcing 2026 will feature TED-style keynotes, immersive panel sessions, practical insights, and networking opportunities, followed by an evening programme including horse racing, dinner, and a live performance by Billy Ocean.
This participation reinforces 99x’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the UK market and actively engaging with the communities shaping the future of global sourcing, technology, and AI-enabled business transformation.
